O'Neill Patent Law was founded by Jeff O'Neill.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Jeff completed a Ph.D. in signal processing from the University of Michigan, did postdoctoral studies in signal processing at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon, France, did postdoctoral studies in image processing at Boston University, and worked for three years as a senior speech scientist developing models for speech recognition.
After graduating from Cornell Law School in 2005, Jeff clerked for the First Circuit Court of Appeals, practiced patent litigation and patent prosecution at a Boston law firm, was general counsel for a startup, and was patent counsel for Amazon.com.
Jeff has published numerous papers in journals and conference proceedings relating to signal processing, law, and political science, is an inventor on several patents and applications, runs the patent proofreading website Patent Bots, and is a director of a conservation non-profit called Earthwise Aware.
